Karen Cazemier
For more than 15 years, Karen Cazemier has dedicated her career to senior care. Her journey began when her grandmother required support beyond what traditional settings offered. Wanting something more personal and comforting, she established her first small care home focused on warmth, safety, and genuine connection. Her work expanded into operating multiple residential care homes across Alberta, managing as many as five simultaneously. Her leadership approach has been hands-on and heart-led, creating home-like environments while managing staffing, licensing, and daily care complexities. She recognized that exceptional small care homes remained largely invisible to families, which became BedHub's foundation — a platform designed to expand access to trusted, high-quality care while bringing greater visibility to small homes and their communities.
